Part 2: Podcast

Prompt: Create a newscast where you are interviewing characters from the book Seedfolks. Your interview should include at least three characters from the book. Be sure to have each character answer in their own point of view and be mindful of the differences between each character. Use evidence or dialogue from the book to create the responses for each character. 

Purpose: The purpose of this podcast is for students to become familiar with the characters and practice differentiating between different point of views. Each interview questions should be specific to the characters based on the story and should respond in a way that represents the character.

Part 3: Digital Story

Prompt: In the book Seedfolks, each character comes to the garden with a different background and reason for ending up there. Create a digital story in which you explain how you planted roots here in our classroom community. Use pictures and video to represent the story you are telling, and use audio to record yourself telling the story. Be sure to include background information about your family and yourself.
Part 4: Infographic

Prompt: The book Seedfolks has a setting centered around a community garden. Create an infographic that provides information about community gardens. Use research to provide your information and be sure to cite your sources.
