Part One: Written Response 
PROMPT: Throughout Maniac Magee, Maniac was put into many bad situations but managed to find the good in all of them. Now I want you to reflect on your own experiences in bad situations and write an essay about how you have found the best in it, or managed to make your situation better. If you have not been in a bad situation or cannot remember one, think about someone you know that has or imagine yourself in a bad situation, like Maniac Magee.  Write about what you or another person would do to make the best of a bad situation?

Part 2: Podcast
Purpose: Create a podcast that argues for people to take action on issue in Maniac Magee by using evidence based upon research (Cultural divide – East End and West End, bullying, Homelessness).
