Podcast

The purpose of this assignment is to help students think about forming and supporting opinions about the story with evidence.  This assignment is aligned to CCSS W.4.1, W.4.5, SL.4.2, and SL.4.4.

Digital Storytelling

The purpose of this assignment is for students to fabricate a moment in one of the character’s lives that is implied by the book but not explicitly described in it, in order to better understand the character.  This assignment is aligned to CCSS RL.4.3, RL.4.6, SL.4.5, and SL.4.6.

Infographic

The purpose of this assignment is to graphically represent the chronological timeline of the events in the story, from the earliest point in history to the most recent.  This assignment is aligned to CCSS RL.4.1, RL.4.7, and SL.4.2.
