Giggle, Giggle, Quack

Project by Emily Oldenburg

Digital Story

For my digital story, I wanted to pick out a book that I thought I would have liked as a child. I picked “Giggle, Giggle, Quack” because I enjoyed books where animal characters are personified. I also liked books that had repeating phrases like “giggle, giggle, quack” because it made the book easier for me to read. The illustrations in this story make it come to life, the expressions on the farm animals faces are sneaky and mischievous. This project was very difficult for me because I have had absolutely no experience making a video clip or using video editing software. For me, this project was a lot of trial and error. I had to figure out how to record audio and embed it into a video. I also struggled with getting the timing right in order to match the audio with the page I was reading. Overall, this part of the project challenged me but if I did something like this in the future, I would try to figure out how to be more creative or use different software.
