Every Day

Every Day is the story of a young 16 year old named A, who wakes up each morning in a new body and must live the life of a complete stranger for one whole day. Switching from body to body through a soul-like existence, A finds that they have nothing more in the world, then the memories that they take with them to each new body. For 16 years, A has figured out how to detach and move on from each host that they inhabit, but their ease of existence comes to an end when A begins to fall in love with one of the host's girlfriends.

Statement
The purpose of this assignment is for students to take on A's soul and travel into the body of someone who they have always wanted to be. The book tells of a soul who wakes up everyday inside a new persons body. For 24 hours, that soul has to live the life of a complete stranger. Now it is the students turn to choose one body, one life, one existence. This type of narrative writing will push the students to thoroughly envision, what it would be like to live one day, a mere 24 hours, in the life of someone they have always dreamt of being. |

Although the decision is usually not up to you, for one day and one day only, you have the opportunity to choose the person whose life you are going to live. Write 2-3 pages, using A’s perspective, and describe a day in the life of someone you have always dreamt of being. The choice is yours, but you ONLY have 24 hours in this host’s body, so make it count.
