Students are able to create a narrative using another person’s perspective. They have to write a letter from another person’s point of view as well as describe events as if they were there.
Prompt:
We saw that Ella could see letters written to her in her fairy book and now it’s you’re your turn! Write a letter from Mandy to one of her fairy friends, Stella, summarizing what happens in the book. If you would prefer to write about a couple of specific event instead, that is acceptable but be prepared to include more details than you would for a summary of the book. Write this letter from Mandy’s perspective, incorporating her voice and writing it in the first person using words like I, me, and myself.

The student should be able to write a script that is a narrative that incorporates the voice of the character that they chose. I will write an interview between a reporter and Ella’s evil stepsister, Hattie about the last masked ball.
Prompt:
Create an interview between a reporter and a character from Ella Enchanted! You will choose an event that happened in the book to talk about. You will include key details as well as incorporate the voice of the character that you choose to interview. Write a script for the interview and then design a podcast that incorporates both the interview and other sound effects. Your podcast must be between 3-6 minutes long.
